Training Effectiveness Review

The organization shall conduct periodic reviews of training effectiveness to ensure training programs are achieving their objectives and personnel are learning and applying security knowledge. Reviews shall include assessment of training outcomes, evaluation of knowledge retention, and analysis of behavioral changes, conducted at planned intervals with opportunities for training improvement identified.

This requirement exists to periodically evaluate training outcomes, knowledge retention, and behavioral application, ensuring personnel security awareness and behavior are managed consistently and measurably.

Implementation Guidance

Establish and document the process to periodically evaluate training outcomes, knowledge retention, and behavioral application. Define accountable owners, target audiences, required inputs and outputs, delivery or assessment criteria, frequency or triggers, completion requirements, evidence and retention requirements, monitoring, reporting, review, and escalation. Align content and activities with organizational risks, incidents, policies, and emerging threats.
